Destined for woodworking, I received my first set of power tools at the ripe age of five. Unlike my friends who were unwrapping their Nintendo 64’s on Christmas of 1996, I unwrapped the ultimate gift of all; a workbench with a vise and a Black & Decker versa pack tool combo. From that point on, no board was safe from my destructive path, which quickly became a constructive path. I was never a fan of anything that didn’t relate to the outdoors or craftsmanship. Infatuated with the titanic and tractors, I quickly began building models and gifting them to my grandparents. In todays standards they look a little rough but considering a five year old made them it’s a little harder to be critical. Around that time my dad started building his first pipe organ, and he would build many more as well as furniture over the next 20 years. I had the luxury of growing up in the wood shop and helping him build various items. Fast forward to 2015 when I graduated from Austin Community College with an Associate of Applied Science in Building Construction Technology & Construction Management. I also took cabinetry one & two as electives and you guessed it! Those were my favorite classes. As part of my degree we had to build a house, so I have successfully built a whole house from the foundation to the shingles. That helps me differentiate myself from other woodworkers as I have a better understanding of the entire process. It also helps me to quickly realize if a project has deviated from the plans and offer a solution to the contractor. While in college, I started working for a granite wholesale company assisting homeowners and contractors with countertop selections and material quantities. I learned how to estimate very well which is very important with today's prices! For the past 10 years, I have been in the construction industry selling countertops, insulation, and roofing. While I love each of those fields, my true passion is woodworking. In 2021 I lost my dad unexpectedly, so I decided to honor him by using my talents, his machinery, and the skills he taught me. Thanks to my dad, I have a full wood shop with all the equipment necessary to complete any woodworking project. No job is too big or small and our attention to detail is so precise we back it by our family last name. Let us know how we can assist you with your next project!
